Maximising
Affiliate Performance To Generate Fat Commission Checks...
This week I added
the finishing touches to the Instant
JV affiliate marketing centre
(in preparation to launch the affiliate program). I plan on setting up
a
sales force of hundreds of other marketers who will promote &
market the product for me for a cut of the sales.
The end goal being
to generate a consistent stream of hands free revenue. On that note - If
you're looking for some great information on setting up your own
highly profitable affiliate program, check out the Free
Advertising System. It's a great little step by step guide &
will help you tremendously.
Part of this
process involved educating affiliates on using a proven technique to
maximise their performance & generate fat commission checks. Obviously, the bigger their affiliate commissions are,
the more I'll be smiling as well.
This is a
technique which I've used very successfully in the past and it will certainly
help you if you're currently promoting affiliate programs. It will
also help if you're an affiliate manger looking to improve the performance of your
own affiliates. Simply provide them with the tools required to carry
out & execute the plan outlined below.
I've personally
used this technique time & time again and have been rewarded with
some very fat commission checks as a result. It's primarily designed
for those of you publishing newsletters and/or who maintain mailing
lists. You can use bits
& pieces of this strategy however you see fit, but it works best
if followed as outlined...
(NOTE: You can also apply
this technique on your website - if you're not maintaining a mailing
list - with a little thought. The same principals apply.)
The Idea Behind This Technique >>>
To get maximum mileage & conversion ratios out of your mailing
list, you need to give the product you're promoting constant exposure
so readers are repeatedly encouraged to visit the site.
The more often they
visit, the better the chances of making a sale. The trouble is, how
can you do this without sending out advertisement after advertisement
& devaluing your newsletter in the eyes of your subscribers?
Here's how it's
done...
Step One: The
Solo Announcement
The first thing you'll want to seriously consider is to send a solo
announcement to your list. This can either be in the form of an
advertisement or a review / recommendation of the product you're
promoting.
The later pulls a
much better response because an ad is an ad and subscribers know this.
A recommendation lends your credibility to the product, thus
increasing sales. Of course, you don't want to recommend crap...
unless you're looking to generate a mass exodus from your mailing
list.
Solo announcements tend to
pull the best response when crafted correctly because the product
you're
announcing is the primary focus of the message.
Note: Sending a
second announcement a few days later is also a great idea, and from
experience, generally pulls a better than the first.
Rather than sending
an identical offer however, you'll want to rework it slightly to
maintain and reignite the interest of those who received the initial
one.
Step Two: The Editorial Reminder
This technique will further enhance your click through &
conversion ratios by reinforcing the solo announcement/s you've sent
out previously.
In the next issue
of your publication, you should remind readers about the
announcement/s you've previously sent them in your editorial - if you
include one in your newsletter.
This further
encourages readers to re-examine the site and offer at hand. It can be
quite subtle & still pull very well. If you take the "in case
you missed the announcement last week, I just want to remind
you..." approach, then it's simply a gentle reminder & will
encourage people to pay more attention and return to the affiliated
website.
Step Three: The
Ezine / Classified Advertisement
This technique is a
continuos marketing method, but you want to introduce it in the same
issue where you've included your editorial reminder. That is,
somewhere in the same issue, include a small classified style
advertisement for the product / service you're promoting.
You should also
continue to test various classified advertisements over the next
several issues of your newsletter to determine exactly which are
pulling the better click through rates from you readers.
Eventually, as one
advertisement starts to lose it's impact, replace it with another one
to increase click through rates.
Step Four:
Running A Topic Specific Article Exposé
This step of the technique pulls extremely well and is designed to
keep your affiliate commissions coming in week after week.
It will only work
if the product / service you're promoting also comes with some ready
made topic specific (product related) articles. You can then customise
these and include them as valuable content in your newsletter.
Such an exposé
works best if you also begin the new feature in the same issue that
you've included your editorial reminder.
You can see that
what we're doing here is essentially giving your newsletter an overall
theme. This not only puts important focus on the topic at hand, but
emphasises why the related product / service you're offering is
valuable.
The length of your
exposé will of course depend upon how many articles are available for
you to use, and the number of those articles you select to run.
Step Five:
Continual Exposure...
This is a step that can be used in as many future editions as you
like. It involves continually testing different classified
advertisements to maintain high click through ratios, sending out
further announcements when important news related to the
product/service is announced (product updates for example), and
plugging the product you're promoting when you run other topic
specific content.
Essentially just
mentioning the product / service whenever it's appropriate based on
the focus of the issue of your newsletter, subscriber FAQ's etc.
As you can see, if you push
affiliate products to your mailing lists in such a fashion, you're
able to give them constant exposure, both directly and indirectly,
whilst at the same time maintaining the quality of your publication.
In fact, generally the
technique is subtle enough that most people don't even feel like
they're being sold something past the solo announcement/s you decided
to send out.
That's why it works so well
and will increase your affiliate commissions by as much as 10 times
what you would've earned from simply sending out one announcement to
your list and then moving onto another product.
Again, if you're working
affiliate programs, try this technique to fatten up your commission
check. If you're an affiliate manager, pass the action plan onto your
affiliates and provide them with the necessary tools they need in
order to execute it successfully.
You'll find that both
parties are rewarded tremendously as a result. Oh yeah... and if you would
like to join the Instant
JV affiliate program, then please feel free to do so. However, do
not start promoting the site just yet as I am still in the process of integrating
the correct payment gateway to ensure sales are tracked correctly.
Should be ready in about 48 hours.

How
To Get Hundreds Of Top 10 Rankings On Google In Just A Few Hours...
A couple of weeks ago I got in
touch with a guy named Federico Carnales who was in the process of
developing a small piece of software designed to get hundreds of top
10 rankings on the search engines.
At the time is was pretty
featureless and I knew it wouldn't stack up, so I sent him my wish
list (based upon my knowledge of what works when it comes to search
engine positioning) and offered to beta test it for him if he made the
improvements.
A few days later he got back to
me with most of the features integrated, so I uploaded it to the Marketing
Strategy site and took it for a spin. It took me a few hours to set it
up. I then left if for a few weeks, and yes, about two weeks later had
hundreds of top 10 rankings on Google as a result.
In fact, it increased the
traffic arriving from Goolge by more than 800%. Not a bad result for
a few hours work as I'm sure you'll agree.
The software is called Ranking
Power and it works by generating hundreds of content & keyword
rich optimized pages, designed specifically to rank well
in the search engines (Google in particular).
You upload the script to your
server, enter a list of targeted keyword phrases into the application,
customize the page templates (so they look like your current site
theme), hit the generate pages button & it creates essentially
what is a complete website directory on your web server in a matter of
minutes - or hours depending upon how many pages you create.
I say website directory because
the pages contain the links & descriptions of numerous other
websites based upon the keywords you use. It then links them all
together into one big site map (or several) and interlinks specific pages with the
proper keyword anchor text.
The content is keyword rich as
it's pulled from one of the major search engines based on the keyword
search terms used. As such the keyword weighting of the individual
pages is very high.
They seem to be very appealing to the individual
search engines at the moment. Need proof?
No problem... you
know I actually walk the walk when it comes to what I teach you
in this weekly letter... as with everything else I do...
Here is an individual page
generated by the application, currently residing on the Marketing
Strategy website... Web
Advertising Consultant.
Here it is sitting in number two
position for that specific "Web Advertising Consultant"
keyword on Google... Google
Result.
Here is the directory index the
software created... Directory
Index. This page will take about 30 seconds to load if you're on dial
up.
Now there are a ton of features
that Ranking
Power contains, and I suggest you jump on over to the website to
check it out to get a full feature list.
At $97 it's a steal considering how much I know many of you sink into
pay-per-click advertising campaigns on a weekly basis.
BUT... I do want to warn you...
There are two types of people
who will use this software. Those who run the risk of actually getting
their website banned from the search engines as a result of using it,
and those who wont and will instead sit back and let the traffic flow in
continuously.
The first group of people are
the ones who will not customise the templates and create a true
content rich directory. They will fire up the application, leave
everything as is, and create near identical pages that other users are
creating that, on appearance and in reality, add little value to the
search engine users experience.
The second group of people are
those who will spend a few days or even weeks generating very clean, targeted keyword lists, customising the templates so they integrate seamlessly
into their existing site, and adding additional value to those pages
using the customizable features of the software itself.
The actual software needs to be
used in a way that it adds valuable, unique content to your website to
enhance your own visitors experience, and not directly used with the
intention to simply spam the search engines.
You see, the trouble with this
kind of software is that it tends to work well for a period of several
months and then fizzles out as more people start utilizing it.
(The primary reason why the
creator of this and similar software should be charging $1,000 or more
for it - not to mention the fact that they would personally make 10
times the net profit from selling it... but that's another story.)
You see, as soon as 10 people
start targeting the same keyword phrases (the software & current
price of it making this very easy to do), the search results in the
engines become saturated with the same type of pages for the end user.
Obviously the search engines don't
wont this because is adds little to no value to their results, the
search engines users don't wont this, and the software users don't
wont this because the search engines will take action to counter the
technique.
That action is usually to ban
websites using it.
Trust me... I've been there,
done that, and had it happen to me many a time using questionable
techniques like search engine cloaking. All in an effort to keep abreast
of what works and what doesn't so I can pass that information onto
you.
Again to counter this inevitable
saturation & potential banning effect, you need to customise your pages and new
website directory
as much as possible. Focus on using it to add value to your website.
The alternative, if you just
want to spam the search engines and go rip shit and bust for the next
few months (maybe as long as six months), OR... even if you are going
to customise and add value... would be to setup an exclusive site for
this purpose to ensure your primary website remains safe... should, or
rather when the search engines start working to counter this
technique.
That way you can funnel that
traffic to your existing site (or wherever you like), take advantage
of this technique whilst it's very effective, and if the new site
gets banned or penalised, it's only cost you $10 for a domain name. No
big deal.
I should mention that those
examples I gave you above will be removed in a few weeks. They are no
where near customised enough, nor did I clean the huge keyword list I
put together thoroughly enough, and as such, I would not feel safe
keeping that directory on the Marketing Strategy site long term.
I simply left it there so you
guys could check out how this software and search engine marketing
technique actually works. The above example was setup
simply to test it's potential, and it sure out performed my
expectations.
As a result, I'm going to spend
a few weeks putting together a directory that adds real value and is
unique to all other Ranking
Power users to ensure long term viability.
Whatever direction you decide to
take, I believe Ranking
Power is a great investment & something which will
dramatically improve the exposure of the websites of people who use it sensibly.

Stealth
Marketing Techniques To Help You Find More High Performance Joint Venture
Partners...
Regardless
of the type of Joint Venture marketing campaign you're initiating,
you're going to secure JV partners with varying levels of performance.
Some will perform above your expectations, some will meet them, and
others with hit the floor with a huge thud like they've had a hard
night on the tequila.
In
expectation of this, it's a good idea to separate the men from the
boys before you even pitch your proposal to them.
This
allows you to identify, from the outset, those potential Joint Venture
Partners you'll want to put the most energy into securing and
developing. Here are some stealth marketing techniques you can use to
weed out the wolves in sheep's clothing...
"Checking
Potential Partners Link Popularity..."
Link
popularity is the measure of the number of other websites a particular
website has linking to it. The greater the number of links, the
greater the link popularity.
In
general sites with greater link popularity have better search engine
positions within the major search engines (particularly with
www.google.com). They often receive a greater amount of search engine
traffic as a result.
Furthermore,
potential partners with greater link popularity will also receive a
substantial amount of targeted traffic as a direct result of all the
additional entry points they have to their website.
For
these reasons link popularity is a very useful tool for determining
the potential performance of a prospective joint venture partner. In
general, high performing partners are going to have the greatest link
popularity.
To
determine the link popularity of a potential partner's website simply
visit www.google.com and conduct a search on link:domain.com (where
domain.com is the domain name of the partner you're investigating.)
This will show you how many other websites your potential partner has
linking to it.
Alternatively
you can use a service like www.marketleap.com or
www.linkpopularity.com to discover link popularity across multiple
search engines, although these services can sometimes be misleading.
Of
course link popularity is not an exact measure of a partner's
potential performance. It
simply gives you an indication in comparison to the other partners
you're looking at contacting.
That's
why you should also consider...
"Determining
Potential Partners Alexa Ratings..."
Alexa
is a free toolbar add-on for Internet Explorer used by hundreds of
thousands of people around the world. Alexa.com (an amazon.com
company) also ranks the popularity of websites on the Internet. They
do so by keeping track of the number of times their users visit each
website, in comparison to all other websites they visit.
Alexa
essentially allows you to compare potential JV partner's rankings
against one another, and/or any other website you choose for that
matter.
You can get a good estimate of the amount of traffic a website
receives by comparing your potential partner's ranking with a site
you're already familiar with. I suggest using your own as you'll know
exactly how much traffic you're currently receiving.
To
check the Alexa Ranking of any website visit http://www.alexa.com and
enter the domain name of the particular site in the search box at the
top of the page. It will then return the rank of that website and some
other useful information.
Of
course as with link popularity, Alexa Rating on its own cannot be used
as an exact measure of a JV partner's potential performance. That's
why you should also consider...
"Exposing
Potential Partners Google Page Rank..."
Google
Page Rank is the method Google uses to rate sites listed within its
search engine. It has a large impact on the search engine positions
website receive. A website with a greater Google Page Rank than a
similar site, will in most cases, receive more exposure, and therefore
traffic, from the search engine.
Google
ranks sites on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the best rating a
website can receive. Generally, a potential joint venture partner with
a higher Google Page Rank than another, has a greater likelihood of
outperforming that other partner.
To
determine the Google Page Rank of a particular website you need to
download and install the Google Toolbar. It's free and can be
downloaded here http://www.toolbar.google.com
Again
like the other two stealth marketing tactics mentioned here, Google
Page Rank alone is not an exact measure of potential partner's
performance. But, you should now see how these 3 valuable pieces of
information can prove to be extremely useful.
When
used together, this information can give you a good indication of the
potential performance of the partner you're looking at approaching
with your proposal. It will help you to clearly identify which
partners you should spend most of your energy on securing and
developing your relationship with.
Of course, if you want to fast track your joint venture marketing
campaigns, then check Instant
