Automatic printing of page -- Posted by T. Audry Glamour on 04-19-04 23:23
Okay, a question asked in all seriousness, but take it where you will.
:)
I'm doing a site for some folks who are trying to make it easy for
newbies to print out a page automatically.
This isn't my idea. But good girl that I am, I've been looking through
script archives and can't find such a thing. I know how to get a
"printer friendly" page--with stylesheet or script. But you still have
to know how to tell your browser to print it.
Does such an automatic print thing exist? You click the print
button/link on the page and your printer prints the page with no
further input?
Thanks for any help/comments/quips/propositions.

Well, I did.
Not exactly in those words though.
(Tee hee, the javascript I've sampled doesn't work on IE or Safari on
my Mac!)

it works better if you swear, make faces and when they attempt to reply
pull your dress up over you head and yell "you cant see me"

Great suggestion! I've put a dress in my purse so I'll have it handy
next time.
