Question about PayPal as a payment processor/OSCommerce -- Posted by C:>/@.MISSING-HOST-NAME. on 12-02-04 06:29

A client wants the payment process with OSCommerce to use PayPal , however
every time it asks for all the registration information twice. Does anyone
know if theres a way to overcome this? Is there a way of getting PayPal to
just ask for payment information and to auto-fill the name/address fields
from the OSCommerce side?
Cheers

I've never used OSCommerce, but PayPal is set up to accept most of that
information to prefill forms out (ie: you can pass it everything from name,
address, shipping address, etc)

Yes, there is. You have to make some modifications to the osCommerce PayPal PHP
module but it is not difficult. I have to get out of here to go pick up my wife
and kids, but will post more later if I can (if not, I will post tomorrow).

actually I realised almost as soon as I posted that I had seen
oscommerce posting to paypal and pre-filling the relevent fields - I
just can't remember which site it was, and while paypal module took
care of it.

I think the CRE-Loaded version of oscommerce installer has 2 paypal
modules - paypal and paypal ipn - the ipn one is what I think takes
care of it for you.
