CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 1999--Nettaxi Inc. (OTC BB:NTXY), a provider of preeminent online communities with more than 100 million monthly ad impressions, today announced that it has licensed 3DShopping Technology from Pi Graphix, Inc. (OTC BB:PGRX) to enhance citizens' e-commerce storefronts.
This proprietary software enables an online merchant to create a shopping experience that is informative, creative and entertaining. Shoppers can view products such as apparel, flowers, gifts, antiques and art objects in an interactive environment. A selected product can be rotated 360 degrees and annotated with a detailed, text-based description, including swatches and options.
3Dshopping Technology will also enable Internet users to select colors, examine textures in detail and view how clothing fits on real models, a demonstration of which can be viewed at www.3dshopping.com/whatsnew.
Nettaxi will offer 3Dshopping Technology to its citizens as an additional service. The application is pure Java and does not require a web browser plug-in, providing ease of use for both the merchant and the shopper. Nettaxi will provide citizens and visitors quick access to 3DShopping.com, Pi Graphix's online shopping mall, via navigational links on the Nettaxi.com homepage and in relevant community areas.
"Being prominently featured in the Nettaxi system is expected to substantially increase daily page views at www.3dshopping.com. We expect that the increase in traffic will correlate to an increase in orders," said Lawrence Weisdorn, president of Pi Graphix, Inc.
"Nettaxi is committed to providing an exceptional community experience for its citizens," said Dean Rositano, president of Nettaxi. "The licensing agreement with Pi Graphix will enable Nettaxi to enhance services and content, strengthening our competitive position as a provider of premier Web-based communities. In addition, Nettaxi will receive revenues from banner advertising and co-branding activities with Pi Graphix, thus increasing shareholder value."
