Internet Marketing to
Compliment Public Relations in New Breed of Integrated Agency
HighWater Group, a fast-growing public relations firm, announced today the formation of an Internet Marketing division to complete their full-service offering in communication services. Additionally, the company announced the hiring of Michael Glorieux as Executive Vice President and General Manager. Mr. Glorieux will oversee all aspects of the Internet Marketing division, as well as work directly with Public Relations clients operating in the Internet, wireless, and e-commerce industries.
In adding Internet marketing to their public relations services, HighWater Group now provide integrated communications services as a compliment to their client's general advertising, branding, and direct marketing campaigns. This places HighWater Group in a unique classification of communications services companies by being one of the first to offer integrated public relations and Internet marketing at one agency.
"Communications in the new digital economy goes far beyond traditional PR and advertising," said Dan Harnett, co-CEO of the company. "Combining public relations with Internet marketing is a cost-effective alternative or compliment to using advertising as a way to influence brand recognition and purchasing. To this end, we are delighted to have someone of Michael's experience spearhead our efforts."
HighWater Group's Internet practice will focus on helping clients assess and develop their overall e-marketing strategies, and will help clients explore new and unique ways to promote products on the Internet beyond Web sites and banners.
Adds Michael Glorieux, "An effective online presence now requires more than a just a Web site, an online store, and banner ads. Clients promoting themselves online need to consider other tactics, including email marketing, online guerilla marketing, search engine relevance, strategic partnerships, and online publicity."
Mr. Glorieux joins HighWater Group with over fifteen years of marketing, advertising, and public relations experience. As Partner of Interactive Marketing at Ogilvy Worldwide, Michael played an integral role in many of IBM's award winning e-business advertising campaigns, including producing the first-ever winner of the Gold CyberLion awarded at the Cannes Advertising Festival, IBM's "Olympics Luge Game." Most recently, Michael was vice president and Director of Accounts at Digital Pulp, where he oversaw the integrated launch of the new egghead.com.
