SARASOTA, Fla., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Retrieval Dynamics Corporation (RDC) today announced that its Mobile Listing Advantage program (MLA), which provides real estate agents and brokers with instant wireless access to all local Multiple Listing Service (MLS)(R) listings, is now available to nearly 200,000 real estate professionals in several major markets across the country. Recent adopters of MLA include MLS PIN (the greater Boston area), Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois (greater Chicago and Northern Illinois), North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (Dallas-Ft. Worth), REALTOR(R) Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Middle Tennessee Regional MLS(R) (greater Nashville), and IRES (Northern Colorado). These markets join Las Vegas, Orlando, Tampa, the greater West Palm Beach area, Tucson, Sarasota and Venice, FL.
In addition, RDC also announced that the launches in these markets will be supported with a variety of co-marketing activities with its wireless carrier partners such as Nextel Communications, T-Mobile and Cingular Wireless. Marketing programs will include print advertising, direct mail, email marketing campaigns, publicity and point-of-sale marketing materials and collateral.
"Mobile Listing Advantage is quickly becoming the real estate industry standard for wireless MLS(R) access," said John Harkola, chief executive officer of Retrieval Dynamics. "With these new markets, we now can bring this groundbreaking bundled solution to almost one-quarter of all licensed real estate professionals in the United States. Our subscriber base grows on a daily basis and we have experienced an influx of new customers in several of these major markets as they've launched."
The Mobile Listing Advantage program bundles together two award-winning technologies: the MLA wireless MLS(R) software with the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld(TM) from Research In Motion and network airtime plans from various wireless carriers. With MLA, real estate professionals can:
* Conduct "One Click" Property Searches: With the BlackBerry and Mobile Listing Advantage, it takes just one click of the trackwheel to conduct a search of local property listings. No wading through multiple screens, no web browsing, no synching and downloading.
* Get Email Anytime, Anywhere: Thanks to the BlackBerry's "push" technology, when someone sends the MLA subscriber an email, it gets sent directly and immediately to their device. No downloading, no dial-up and no web browsing involved.
* Consolidate Into An "All In One" Device: Email, phone, personal organizer tools, calculator, web browser and more -- all in a single wireless handheld device. MLA subscribers can synchronize contacts and appointments, view and edit email attachments, browse the Internet, send and receive email, and more.
* Access Multiple Email Accounts: Emails from up to 10 different email accounts can be forwarded directly to the BlackBerry. If the MLA subscriber has a web site that delivers leads via email, those leads can be sent directly to their BlackBerry for instant response and follow up.
* Synch With Desktop & Lead Management Software: The BlackBerry synchronizes with popular desktop organizer programs and lead management software such as Top Producer (7i). No need to input data twice and no limitations on when, where and how to use that information.
* Surf The Web With A Full Browser and Support for Third Party Software Applications: Browse to favorite websites such as MSN, Yahoo, and more. Download and use third party software for additional gains in personal productivity and success.
Mr. Harkola added that Retrieval Dynamics expects to announce several more new markets for Mobile Listing Advantage by the end of the second quarter.
"The word on Mobile Listing Advantage is spreading throughout the industry and we now have local and regional real estate boards and associations approaching us about offering the program to their members," he said. "Our current customers and MLS(R) partners have been key in providing favorable testimony in building the success of this program throughout the real estate community."
