Leading Internet Advertising Firm to Join Radiate Internet
Roundtable in Finding Solution to Audience Metrics Discrepancies
Leading Internet advertising network 24/7 Media (Nasdaq:TFSM) is joining Radiate, AltaVista, Motorola, MediaMetrix, Nielsen Media Research, OgilvyOne, Arbitron, DoubleClick, AdForce, PC Data Online, WashingtonPost.Newsweek Interactive, and Aberdeen Research Group and others in the quickly growing forum on audience metrics and consumer privacy, known as the Radiate Internet Roundtable (RIR).
According to RIR members, it is becoming increasingly essential to get together to discuss measurement issues as they directly affect advertising rates, company valuations and consumer privacy.
"The interactive medium is fast becoming a desired place for marketers and advertisers to position and brand their products," said Risa Goldberg, 24/7 Media's Director of Research. The RIR's goal is to develop key metrics that will give those marketers and advertisers quantifiable information on how their products are being received by consumers.
Established in New York City on July 12, the group of leading Internet companies joined for the first comprehensive discussion geared toward solving outstanding issues with audience measurement and e-commerce. The group met again on September 21 in San Francisco and continued their discussion to work towards a solution that will satisfy the present and future metrics demands. To do that, the RIR seeks to resolve issues concerning the rise of the "digital customer," a term that represents the evolution of the Internet from the standard Web property metric to one that includes various mediums served through Internet technologies. Those mediums include software, cell phones, PDAs, music, books, and video.
"24/7 Media is a trusted Internet marketing advertising company. We welcome their participation and position on audience metrics," said Ehren Maedge, CEO at Radiate.
