ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2003

LiveOak Equity Partners' Gilbert Joins KnowledgeStorm Board of

Directors; Internet Advertising Veteran Canfield Joins KnowledgeStorm

Executive Team; KnowledgeStorm Monthly Traffic Exceeds 1.5 Million

KnowledgeStorm, the Internet's most highly trafficked business technology search site, today announced LiveOak Equity Partners' Jim Gilbert has been named to KnowledgeStorm's Board of Directors. Members include KnowledgeStorm's Kelly Gay, Sterling Venture Partners' Brian Hirsch, Apex Venture Partners' Lon Chow, Total Technology Ventures' Tom Smith and Internet Security Systems' (ISSX) Tom Noonan. Additionally, Internet advertising veteran Jim Canfield joins KnowledgeStorm's executive team as vice president of Sales.

"KnowledgeStorm's velocity has reached light-speed--this is an incredible time to become a member of the KnowledgeStorm board," said Gilbert. "KnowledgeStorm's recent successes include topping the 1.5 million session mark in monthly traffic, amassing business-critical content and syndication partnerships, as well as earning remarkable popularity among tech marketers and buyers. I look forward to contributing toward the next series of milestones, particularly KnowledgeStorm becoming the number one marketing vehicle for technology companies and the primary information source for technology buyers."

Gilbert, who succeeds colleague Murali Anantharaman on the KnowledgeStorm board, is currently managing partner for LiveOak Equity Partners, L.P., an Atlanta-based $70 million venture capital fund focused on information technology and healthcare companies. Previously, Gilbert held the positions of president and COO for IMNET Systems, and from '88 to '96, served as senior vice president and general counsel for HBO & Company. Gilbert began his career as Assistant Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice.

"We're elated to have respected industry veterans such as Jim Gilbert and Jim Canfield joining our team," said Kelly Gay, chairman, president & CEO of KnowledgeStorm. "Given Mr. Gilbert's extensive background in law, media and information technology and Mr. Canfield's 20+ years building high-performance sales teams, KnowledgeStorm stands to gain mightily from their insight and expertise. Their proven strategies of expanding markets and recognizing untapped revenue streams will further widen the gap between KnowledgeStorm and our competitors."

Before joining KnowledgeStorm, Mr. Canfield served as vice president of Sales for Headhunter.net, helping the company become the Internet's #2 job board. Prior to Headhunter.net, Canfield held various leadership positions, including vice president of Sales and Marketing at Idexx Laboratories, a high-growth, $400 million biotech firm.

"I'm excited about my new position with KnowledgeStorm, where I'll focus on escalating revenue in current markets and opening new ones," said Canfield. "Just this month the sales team posted record figures. Moving forward, I'll be implementing sales force operations, expansion strategies and instilling best practices to continue KnowledgeStorm's triple-digit annual growth."
