Mat Stover, chairman of the Yellow Pages Publishers Association, has signed on as a board member at Clickmarks.com. Clickmarks.com is an application service provider that develops and deploys software infrastructure for Web sites. "Mat's leadership experience with Nynex, Bell Atlantic, Big Yellow and American Express strengthens Clickmarks.com's position as the company looks toward strategic alliances with telecommunication and financial companies to bring enhanced freedom to use of the Web," commented Clickmarks' CEO Umair Khan.
Stover is one of five members on Clickmarks' board of directors. Stover is also the founder of LKM Ventures of Andover, a company that advises and invests in companies seeking to leverage the Internet to enhance their competitive position. Until the end of last year, Stover was group president of Bell Atlantic Directory Group and president and CEO of its predecessor companies, Bell Atlantic Information Services Group and Nynex Information Resources Co.
Wade Davis, vice president of investments for PaineWebber Inc., has left the investment firm to join WorldPages.com (San Francisco) as vice president of investor relations. Davis has worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers and Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. "We're delighted he is taking on this key role for our company and know he will use those same skills in building similar relationships for WorldPages.com," said Michael A. Pruss, vice president and chief financial officer for WorldPages.com. WorldPages.com provides Internet infrastructure services including online directories, content, e-commerce, advertising and Web site production.
R.H. Donnelley has announced the appointment of Thomas A. Daniel to president and CEO of the company's Internet subsidiary, Get Digital Smart.com, Inc. Get Digital Smart was launched in February and offers Internet marketing and e-commerce services for small and medium sized businesses. Daniel joins R.H. Donnelley from LiveOnTheNet.com. He was chairman and co-CEO of the entertainment Web site.
