ARLINGTON, Va., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Hispanic Corporate Council conferred on the dynamics and metrics of Internet marketing to Hispanics, and the value and measurement of corporate giving at its first member meeting of 2004. The conference entitled, "Making your Hispanic $$$'s Count! 'Show Me the Metrics'" was held February 25-27 at the Four Seasons in Miami, Florida.
Among the key speakers were Frank Ros, Assistant Vice President, Latin Affairs for The Coca-Cola Company, sharing insights into Coke's Community Affairs Metrics and the effect on their business results. Josue Basterra, Manager, Diversity Marketing and Sales for General Motors, discussed the development of GM's bilingual Internet site and its role in their marketing mix. The dynamics and metrics of Internet Marketing for Hispanics was presented by Jorge Consuegra, General Manager, Yahoo en Espanol, and Richard Israel, Vice President, Hispanic Solutions for ComScore. Allstate's Ray Celaya, Assistant Vice President of Procurement Governance-Supplier Diversity, Jorge Perez, Allstate's Marketing Manager and Juan Sierra, President of 800 Adept, shared strategies and components of Allstate's marketing measurement system.
A State Farm panel comprised of Art Ruiz, State Farm's Federal Affairs Director, along with Tony Waller, Zone Consultant, Sam McClain, Public Affairs Manager, and Mark Espinoza, the Community Development Manager, addressed corporate giving and its return on investment. Rocky Egusquiza, Director of Community Development and Special Programs for the Ford Motor Company Fund, discussed Aligning Corporate Giving to Corporate Objectives. The conference concluded with a visit by NHCC members to the Little Havana Institute continuing NHCC's In-School Program, established in 1997.
