Expanded Alliance Targets eBusiness, CRM Marketplaces Worldwide
PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL), today announced a Global Strategic Alliance that will further expand their ability to offer integrated solutions to clients seeking superior eBusiness and customer relationship management (CRM) products and services.
With its status as a Global Strategic Partner--the highest tier within the Siebel Alliance Program--PricewaterhouseCoopers builds upon its three-year alliance and extensive experience with Siebel Systems, sharpening its focus on the burgeoning eBusiness marketplace worldwide.
Within their expanded alliance framework, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems will collaborate on a number of important new initiatives, such as PricewaterhouseCoopers' eCRMLive centers in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States--where clients can view and experience firsthand a fully functional, multimedia customer contact center driven by Siebel eBusiness Applications. In addition, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems will jointly establish an engineering laboratory located at Siebel Systems' headquarters in San Mateo (Calif.), to embark on joint marketing initiatives worldwide and continue to provide industry-specific solutions aimed at communications, energy, financial services, pharmaceutical and public sector clients.
The two organizations will build on the Siebel-specific implementation methodologies, toolkits and knowledge base of PricewaterhouseCoopers' consultants, and provide ongoing quality assurance testing for new Siebel eBusiness Applications product releases.
PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems have teamed successfully on more than 100 global eBusiness projects worldwide, spanning the key regions in which the two organizations operate and involving the entire spectrum of sales and marketing activities--from lead generation and acquisition to customer care and retention.
"PricewaterhouseCoopers is a recognized leader in the CRM and eBusiness space. By expanding our alliance with Siebel Systems we will further enhance the skills of our more than 1,000 Siebel-trained consultants, and provide--on a global scale--even richer resources and services to the world's leading companies," said Scott Hartz, global managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Management Consulting Services practice.
"Siebel Systems and PricewaterhouseCoopers have developed an enduring partnership to provide companies with powerful and integrated eBusiness solutions, " said Thomas M. Siebel, Chairman and CEO, Siebel Systems. "This expanded alliance will allow us to jointly increase our investment in delivering eBusiness solutions and meet our unified commitment of 100 percent customer satisfaction."
Alliance in Action: Stamps.com
A Siebel Systems alliance partner since 1997, PricewaterhouseCoopers has worked with Siebel Systems to deploy Web-enabled customer management solutions for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Most recently, the two organizations have begun working with emerging leaders of the digital economy.
Stamps.com, a leading provider of Internet mailing and shipping solutions, is one company that has looked to PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems to help fortify their e-business operations. Stamps.com previously functioned on a variety of customized, stand-alone systems. To serve its growing base of more than 200,000 Internet postage customers, Stamps.com sought to develop benchmarks and metrics to streamline its customer relationship management processes - including the capture of data at Stamps.com call centers using blended chat, e-mail and voice.
"We were looking for a combination of world-class consulting services with cutting-edge software," said Loren Smith, president and COO at Stamps.com. "By working with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Siebel Systems, we have begun to implement new business models and software solutions that are enabling us to track, organize and channel our critical customer and business data in a highly efficient and actionable fashion."
