LONGWOOD, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2000
Hancock Information Group, a business-to-business sales support and research firm, has been named to the Central Florida Technology Fast 50 list, a ranking by Deloitte & Touche of the fastest growing technology companies in the area.
Hancock Information Group's President, Susan Hancock, credits the growth to a company-wide team of intelligent employees and a strong commitment to implementing new technology to satisfy client needs.
"We're very proud of this accomplishment...especially when you consider that the technology industry is relatively new to us. We only recently developed proprietary software projects and integrated high-tech services -- lead distribution and reporting via the Web, database management, website hosting, web chats and more -- as a way to maintain our commitment to quality and service," said Susan Hancock, President of Hancock Information Group.
Lori Sprague, HIG's Senior Vice President of Operations, agrees with Hancock's assessment, "Many of our high tech clients, including IBM, Microsoft, and Hewlett-Packard, pushed us to develop innovative ways to support needs within their high-tech environment. To rise to the challenges they set before us, we employed top talent to develop software, customize programs and implement online capabilities. Before we knew it, we had become technology experts ourselves!"
Hancock Information Group now has a 23-person, in-house IS team to implement various technological programs for its clients. Just a few years ago, the technology-related services offered by HIG represented a fraction of its business. Today, technology services are integrated into virtually every service the company markets.
"At a time when technology companies come and go overnight, making the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 is a testament to a company's leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution, but also the vision to sustain growth over at least five years. Hancock Information Group has proven that it has the right stuff to succeed. We at Deloitte & Touche salute its accomplishments," said Mike Zychinski, High Technology Partner at Deloitte & Touche, Orlando.
Fast 50 rankings are based on the percentages of growth in revenues from 1995 - 1999. To qualify, companies must have 1995 operating revenues of at least $50,000 and 1999 operating revenues of at least $1,000,000; must be a U.S. company developing and/or providing technology products or services; and must have been in business for a least five years. Deloitte & Touche will release a comprehensive list of winners and rankings during its August 24, 2000 awards event.
