Increased Sales By More Than 200% If you've been wondering where I've been and why I haven't written lately it's because I haven't really had much to say. Just been testing new things here and there, and chugging away at the daily grind. Just keeping on, keeping on... I was going to write you last week but wanted to wait until I had some more conclusive data on a new service I've been testing on one of my niche affiliate websites. It's called Instant Attention and its an "unstoppable" popup window used to grab visitors attention and push them where you'd like them to go. That might be further into your website to a lead capture page for example, or away form your site to an affiliated product or service. Basically anywhere you want them to go. You can check it out now on the home page of Online Marketing Today. You can't miss it. It's what's referred to as an "unstoppable" popup window, in that it beats almost all known popup blockers, including the popup blockers in applications such as the Google toolbar. The reason it's able to do this is because technically it's not a popup window. Rather it's DHTML invisible layer placed over your normal HTML page, giving the appearance of a normal popup window. Now these things are nothing new. "Unstoppable" DHTML popup window generators have been around for awhile. I brought one last year some time for about $200 if I remember correctly. They also work well because, although many people say they hate popup windows like the plague, they continue to generate results & click throughs. Visitors just can't ignore them. They're "in your face" and demand attention. I've tried most of the unstoppable popup window generators out there in the past too, but always seemed to run into some sort of hair pulling trouble (that $200 one was a waste of time). The main issue was the amount of time it would take to set them up, test & tweak new messages for maximum click throughs etc, taking into account I now manage over 30 websites in different niche markets. I guess I really just couldn't be arsed with it all at the end of it, so pretty much just ignored the technique. However when I came across Instant Attention I thought I would take it for a test on a few of my niche sites as it seemed very easy to implement. And believe it or not it is. You simply sign into your account, select the style of window you want to use (there's some real cool ones there), plug your message into the input field, check off a few other options, then copy & paste one line of code into the body of your HTML documents and you're away laughing. I was up in running with the test I am about to talk about in under 20 minutes. What makes it ideal for me is that you never have to touch your website pages again. If you want to update the popup window message or click through location, your simply log back into Instant Attention, change your message and it's updated across your entire site in real time. You can see why this is most convenient for me (and many of you too I'm sure) with a large number of sites. There are no files to upload to your website, you don't have to stuff your HTML pages with twice as much code in order to generate the windows (which the search engine spiders aren't going to enjoy). I like it. Anyway that's the meat and potatoes of the thing. Jump on over there and read through the sales letter for a more detailed explanation and some examples of what you can do with these bad boys. I've had it running on my dog training site for 2 full weeks now and have seen a 200% + increase in sales. I didn't change anything else on the site aside from plugging one of these popup windows throughout it, so know it's directly responsible for this increase. Prior to implementing it the site was averaging 3 sales per week at $33 commission per sale. After implementing it I'm now averaging 1 sale per day so there's a big increase in revenues there. This is no random fluctuation either. As I said I've been running it for a full two weeks prior to writing about it. Of course, I simply use it to encourage visitors to click through directly to the affiliated site, as that's all this site was designed to do. If I was putting out a newsletter I would definitely try testing a newsletter plug and capturing leads before redirecting them off to the affiliate site in order to build the mailing list and increase my assets directly. You might want to check it out if you're looking to do things as easy as possible like me and are interested in seeing if you can't increase your sales or signups with similar results to what I've seen here. All in all I'm pretty happy with Instant Attention if you couldn't tell already ;-0 Discuss This Issue In The Forums Now Link Management Assistant Update Before I forget I wanted to mention that we are in the process of updating the Link Management Assistant application now, fixing a few small bugs (nothing major) and adding some additional features. I managed to finally secure a new programmer after me old mate decided to focus on his own independent projects. I anticipate about 4 weeks before I can release it to the user base to ensure it's been thoroughly tested, but it may be sooner. All users will get the usual update via the update mailing list of course & I'll introduce you to the new programmer in a coming issue incase you have any work you want done. Discuss This Issue In The Forums Now Top Paying Keywords For AdSense I know there are quite a few readers of this newsletter who develop niche websites with the specific intention of generating AdSense revenue. As a result I thought I would mention the new service my good friend Keith Baxter has started called Top Paying Keyword Lists. Keith hooked me up with an example of his lists, heck, 5-6 months ago now I think it was, and I knocked up a few sites geared directly toward the high paying keyword target markets. Needless to say my AdSense revenues & pay checks jumped pretty substantially and continue to remain much higher thanks to those lists. If you want to know which target markets are paying the most, and specifically which keywords, then you'll want to become a member here. I highly recommend it if part of your online marketing strategy is to generate income via AdSense. Membership will pay for itself tens times over, of that I'm certain. Discuss This Issue In The Forums Now Let me know what you thought about this weeks issue! Until next time... Sincerely always,
