Project Updated…

August 14th, 2007

Just a quick one to let you know that I’ve just added a section to the right called “Moving Forward Again…” to catch up on the project to date. I expect the project to pick up the pace again very soon over the next few weeks.

Wow, no update for a month…

May 17th, 2007

Hey All,

Heck, just realized there has been no update for a month.

I just wanted to let you know that the project has been ticking along but there have been delays with the ghostwriter. I can’t begin selling without the product and hence not much to write about (nor sell). Looks like we’re very close now however which is excellent.

All I have done on the project since the last email update I sent out is to start putting together the technical aspects of the membership website, making all the different parts “talk” to each other, gathering content etc all of which are 99% complete.

So expect an email update on the project in a week or two and I’ll explain all of this in detail as promised. Just thought I’d better update you in the meantime so you don’t think this project has gone by the way side.

Quick Update…

April 11th, 2007

Hi All,

I just realized that I forgot to post the last two email messages I had sent to readers of the Online Marketing Today Newsletter here in relation to project updates. I have done so now so if you missed them you will find them to the right under “Filling In Blanks” and “Project Statistics”.

Lead Follow Up & Forums…

March 17th, 2007

Hi All,

Since the last update…

  • I have created a two part email follow up sequence that is sent to new leads.
  • Setup a discussion community on the back end of the website.
  • Created 100 individually cloaked websites to generate additional leads.
  • Ghostwriter has been busy at work.

We have also achieved excellent results from the project to date, including an ever increasing mailing list, collected some excellent market research, obtained number one position in MSN for our primary target phrase (and are moving up in Google very fast), amongst numerous other things.

You can view the latest video under the “Lead Capture” section located to the right. In it I give specific results achieved, and discuss how the lead capture process and follow up is working in conjuntion with the discussion forums to start building an active community.

Video Showing Actual Rankings

March 7th, 2007

Hi All,

Due to the disappearing Yahoo rankings for our project website last week (an explanation of which is below), I have created a brief video to show you the rankings we now have in both Google and MSN. I’ve done this to ensure you can see exactly what I was seeing at the time. This video was created early yesterday morning so there is a small possibility the examples shown have changed their exact positions since then, but they should still be pretty close to what is shown in the video.

Watch The Video Here

In addition, another video has been posted containing a walk through of the on site search engine optimization factors I’ve employed on the website. You can watch this via the section titled “OnSite SEO Factors” located to the right.

Please excuse the slightly rough audio quality (and my accent). I need to purchase a better microphone and will do so for future videos.

Important Note:

February 28th, 2007

Hi All,

Yesterday I published the Link Building Campaign section.

It contained examples of actual search engine positioning achieved for the project website to date. Low and behold, as soon as it went out, all of the mentioned results achieved in Yahoo seem to have disappeared.

These were real results I can assure you. They were there from Sunday 25th Feb right up until yesterday. It’s Murphy ’s Law really. It seems now Yahoo reverted back to an older index and is only showing the cached home page from a few days previous to this when there was no website up there at all.

I feel I need to explain this because of the volume of emails I have received. To all those wondering why this occurred, you need to understand that this is a “live” project.

I write about what I’ve done as I am doing it. I write about the results as we see them occur. But search engines are strange numbers; they update frequently, revert back to their previous updates occasionally, and are quite dynamic. As in this instance, that appears to have occurred. I’m not concerned, it is simply a normal fluctuation in Yahoo and we should see the results come back within the next day or two.

It will take several weeks (and longer with Google when it finally picks the site up) for the results to stabilize completely, which of course we will see as we go. I hope this helps to clarify why you might or might not be seeing the results mentioned right now.

If you don’t hear from me again before the weekend, have a good one.
